From May 19th to 22nd, the triennial industry flagship event—INDEX Nonwovens Exhibition—will be held at the Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland.

Drawing on years of dedicated expertise in bio-based materials, eSUN will showcase its full range of polylactic acid (PLA) fibers and nonwoven products at Booth #4641. Key highlights include:
- PLA fibers and nonwoven products
- Specialty materials such as PLA bicomponent fibers
- Application achievements of PLA nonwovens in personal care, medical and hygiene, packaging, and home furnishing sectors.
Featured Exhibits: Full Range of PLA Fibers and Nonwoven Products

- Full-category PLA fibers: Covering various forms including PLA ultra-short fibers, staple fibers, filaments, and yarns to meet diverse textile and nonwoven production needs.
- Full-process nonwoven products: Leveraging mature production lines, eSUN offers deep customization and processing of PLA nonwovens across all techniques—including thermal-bonded,air through, spunlaced, needled, spunbonded, and meltblown—based on the specific application requirements of downstream customers.
Featured Exhibits: Specialty PLA Bicomponent Fibers

Furthermore, PLA bicomponent fiber is a signature product of eSUN. The combination of PLA bicomponent fibers with natural fibers (such as hemp, cotton, and wool) or regenerated cellulose fibers (such as viscose, Lyocell, Modal, and bamboo fiber) can replace petroleum-based low-melting-point polyester fibers and ES (Ethylene-Propylene Side By Side) fibers in the nonwoven field. These fibers enable self-bonding without the addition of chemical adhesives, achieving full biodegradability of the material. In addition to all-PLA bicomponent fibers, eSUN has also successfully achieved composite spinning of PLA with other degradable materials like PBAT and PBS to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
Multi-scenario Application Showcase of PLA Nonwoven Fabrics
Thanks to the excellent biocompatibility, dryness, moisture permeability, antibacterial/deodorizing properties, and biodegradability of PLA nonwovens, they are becoming the “new favorites” in fields such as disposable hygiene products (e.g., diapers/sanitary napkins), medical protection, beauty and skincare (e.g., mask base cloth), and agricultural environmental protection.

eSUN is committed to the R&D, production, and application of PLA fibers and nonwovens. We sincerely invite new and existing global customers, partners, and industry colleagues to visit the eSUN booth for in-depth exchanges and to jointly explore the infinite possibilities of bio-based materials in the nonwoven field.
