On July 30-31, the 2026 Annual Meeting of the China Chemical Fibers Association’s Bio-based Chemical Fibers and Raw Materials Branch, alongside the sector’s Industrial Chain Collaborative Innovation Development Conference, was successfully held in Changshu, Jiangsu.

As one of the organizers of this meeting, eSUN joined hands with industry peers to discuss the high-quality development plan for the bio-based fiber industry.

The meeting comprehensively summarized the main work of the Bio-based Chemical Fiber and Raw Material Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association over the past year, clarified the key tasks for the next stage, and studied and proposed the branch’s leadership transition plan. Among them, Yang Yihu from eSUN will serve as the Chairman of the committee (this plan is proposed to be submitted to the council for deliberation and formal approval).

As the newly appointed Chairman of the committee, Yang Yihu introduced the company’s innovative practices and future prospects in the polylactic acid (PLA) fiber field at the meeting, and based on industry pain points and development trends, he put forward the following work suggestions:
- First, strengthen the collaborative mechanism of industry, academia, research, and application, and build a complete industrial chain ecology through cross-entity cooperation;
- Second, promote vertical deep cultivation and horizontal cross-boundary integration, and expand the collaborative application scenarios of traditional chemical fibers and bio-based chemical fibers;
- Third, accelerate the construction of a whole-chain standardization system to avoid repeated testing and market access barriers caused by the lack of standards;
- Fourth, deepen international cooperation, explore the global market, and enhance the industry’s voice and global competitiveness.

In addition, General Manager Lu Shijun delivered a keynote speech at the meeting titled “Looking into the Development Prospects of Bio-based and Degradable Synthetic Fibers Using Polylactic Acid Fiber as an Example”, sharing practical experience and thoughts with industry peers centering around the technological innovation, industrial application, and future development opportunities of PLA fibers.

After the meeting, a delegation including Chen Xinwei, President of the China Chemical Fibers Association, Jin Gaoling, Vice President, and Huang Zhixiong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongbang Town in Changshu, visited eSUN for inspection and guidance!
As a pioneer in the field of bio-based and degradable materials, eSUN will continue to deeply cultivate the research, development, and application of polylactic acid fibers in the future, actively cooperate with the work of the branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association, collaborate with upstream and downstream partners, and jointly promote the green synergy and sustainable development of the bio-based chemical fiber industrial chain.
