Under the upgraded global “plastic bans”, soaring oil prices, and new EU environmental regulations, the textile and nonwovens industry is facing new challenges.
From April 21 to 24, Techtextil 2026, the German technical textiles and nonwovens exhibition, will be grandly held in Frankfurt.

“Biobased, recyclable, compostable”! At that time, eSUN will bring its bio-based polylactic acid (PLA) fibers and nonwoven products to Booth D72A in Hall 9.1, providing you with a more eco-friendly and sustainable upgraded alternative solution!
The “Breathing” Polylactic Acid (PLA) Fiber
Polylactic acid (PLA) fibers are derived from renewable plant resources. They not only inherently carry “eco-friendly genes”, but also integrate the dual advantages of natural fibers and synthetic fibers.

Natural · Skin-friendly · Hypoallergenic
Antibacterial · Anti-mite · Deodorizing
Moisture-wicking · Refreshing · Quick-drying
Warm · Light and smooth · High resilience
Low carbon · Eco-friendly · Sustainable
Flame-retardant · Smokeless · Safe
The “Green Black Technology” Replacing Traditional ES (Ethylene-Propylene Side By Side) Fibers
PLA bicomponent fiber is a leading and characteristic product of eSUN. The combination of PLA bicomponent fibers with natural fibers such as hemp, cotton, and wool, as well as with regenerated cellulose fibers such as viscose, Lyocell, Modal, and bamboo fibers, can replace conventional low-melting-point polyester fibers and ES (Ethylene-Propylene Side By Side) fibers in the nonwovens field. This achieves the complete biodegradability of materials and provides a more eco-friendly and sustainable solution for the upgrading and replacement of related products.
In addition, combined with natural fibers or regenerated fibers, PLA bicomponent fibers can also replace ES (Ethylene-Propylene Side By Side) fibers to act as a binder.

Multi-dimensional Application Examples of PLA Nonwovens
Nonwovens are widely used in daily life with a huge consumption volume. At the exhibition, eSUN will comprehensively showcase PLA-based thermal bonded non-woven fabrics, air through non-woven fabrics, spunlaced non-woven fabrics, needled non-woven fabrics, spunbonded non-woven fabrics, and meltblown non-woven fabrics, as well as their multi-scenario applications.

Thanks to their excellent biocompatibility, dry moisture permeability, antibacterial and deodorizing properties, and biodegradability, PLA nonwovens are becoming the “new favorites” in fields such as disposable sanitary materials (e.g., diapers/sanitary napkins), medical protection, beauty and skincare (e.g., face mask cloth), and agricultural environmental protection.
eSUN is committed to the R&D, production, and application of polylactic acid fibers and nonwovens. From April 21 to 24, we look forward to meeting you in Frankfurt, Germany, to jointly discuss the development prospects of PLA fibers!
