On October 15, the “2nd Bio-based Fiber Technology and Market Forum,” jointly hosted by the China Association of Productivity Promotion Centers and Qingdao University, concluded successfully in Qingdao.

eSUN was invited to attend this grand event, gathering with more than 200 experts and corporate representatives from research institutes, industry associations, and upstream and downstream sectors of the industrial chain to jointly explore innovative breakthroughs and market opportunities for bio-based fibers under the “dual-carbon” goals.
At the conference, Lu Shijun, General Manager of eSUN New Materials (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation entitled “Applications and Prospects of Polylactic Acid (PLA) Fibers.”

With the acceleration of low-carbon and environmentally friendly consumption trends, PLA fiber, by virtue of its excellent properties such as natural antibacterial performance, skin-friendly anti-mite qualities, and complete biodegradability, has demonstrated immense substitution potential and commercial value across fields including apparel, home textiles, non-woven sanitary materials, and industrial fabrics. Relying on its mature industrialization experience, eSUN continues to break through key processing bottlenecks to provide the market with more cost-effective and functional green fiber solutions.

In the future, eSUN will continue to build on Guanghua Weiye’s innovation gene in the field of green materials, adhere to deep industry-university-research synergy as a driver, and join hands with upstream and downstream partners across the industrial chain to accelerate the high-performance development and large-scale application of polylactic acid (PLA) fibers, contributing “eSUN strength” to promoting the green and high-quality transformation of China’s textile and chemical fiber industry.

Green textiles, never stopping the pace. On October 22, eSUN will be invited to appear at the “Autumn Fashion Source China Clothing Supply Chain Summit” to share in depth “The Superior Performance and Diversified Application Advantages of Bio-based Polylactic Acid (PLA) Fibers” at the knitting roundtable forum, revealing the eco-friendly solutions and fashion trends of PLA fibers in the field of knitted apparel.
Polylactic acid fibers can be blended and applied with various biological materials such as cotton, linen/hemp, silk, and wool. In this event, eSUN will focus on sharing the blending application advantages and development prospects of polylactic acid fibers with linen/hemp fibers. We sincerely invite industry colleagues to visit, share, and exchange ideas at that time, and jointly paint a new picture of green fashion!
