From September 2–4, the 2025 Yarnexpo Autumn was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
eSUN presented its latest technological achievements in PLA fiber nonwoven materials at Booth E125-3, Hall 8.2.
Focusing on the theme of “Promoting Diversified Applications of PLA Materials”, eSUN brought a variety of innovative solutions to address the performance bottlenecks of single materials, showcasing the many possibilities of blending PLA with other materials.
1.High-adhesion bio-based and eco-friendly bicomponent fibers – Designed for hot-air nonwoven hygiene materials, enabling the fabrics to maintain full degradability while achieving higher strength, abrasion resistance, softness, and comfort.
2.Cost-effective durable functional fibers – While retaining PLA’s natural functionalities, the materials offer enhanced support and durability at reduced costs, suitable for partially degradable products with functional requirements.
3.Bio-based filling balls—With a bio-based content of up to 85%, featuring high resilience, safety, and eco-friendliness, applicable to toy filling, home textiles filling, and more.
PLA fibers are highly versatile and can also be blended with cotton, viscose, wool, Tencel, Modal, and other materials.
At this exhibition, eSUN also highlighted PLA yarn products co-developed with downstream partners—100% pure PLA yarns and blended PLA yarns—as well as apparel applications such as PLA denim wear, PLA wool sweaters, and PLA loungewear.
The exhibition successfully concluded on September 4. Many visitors joined us at Booth E125-3, Hall 8.2, to explore sustainable fiber trends face-to-face. Special gifts were prepared for onsite guests.
