Polylactic Acid (PLA) Fiber / Yarn / Nonwoven Fabric

Polylactic acid (PLA) fiber is a bio-based fiber that combines both eco-friendliness and functionality. It not only aligns with the current trend of sustainable development but also provides consumers with a better user experience.
Skin-Caring · Antibacterial & Deodorizing · Moisture-Wicking & Quick-Drying

The “skin-caring, antibacterial & deodorizing” functions mainly originate from the weak acidity of PLA fiber. PLA slowly releases lactic acid, which helps remove keratin and promote epidermal metabolism, while also supporting collagen growth.

At the same time, due to its acidity, PLA fiber can disrupt the cell structure of odor-causing bacteria, effectively killing them and achieving deodorizing effects.
In terms of performance, PLA fiber has a low thermal conductivity, offering good warmth retention in winter. Thanks to its excellent moisture-wicking and sweat-diffusion properties, it absorbs moisture and dries quickly, with evaporation rapidly carrying away body heat, creating a cooling effect in summer.
eSUN PLA Yarn/Fabrics
In cooperation with downstream enterprises, eSUN has developed PLA yarn products, including 100% pure PLA yarn as well as PLA blended yarns with other materials such as cotton, viscose, wool, Tencel, and modal.

eSUN PLA Apparel Applications
eSUN PLA fiber demonstrates broad applicability and can be blended with cotton, viscose, wool, Tencel, modal, and other materials. It is suitable for various apparel, such as T-shirts, polo shirts, underwear, knitwear, sleepwear, and loungewear.

Thanks to its unique functional properties, PLA fiber is particularly suitable for consumers with sensitive skin or higher material requirements, such as the elderly and infants.
